I recently experienced a denial for Amazon onsite commissions, and in this article, I want to share everything I changed to ultimately get approved.

Hi there, I’m Tiffany, and if you’re new to my channel, I’ve been an affiliate marketer for over eight years. I recently embarked on my journey with the Amazon influencer program. If you’re interested in learning more about the program and how to succeed with it, I’ve created a free support group, and you can find the link in the description below.

Understanding Amazon Influencer Program
In this program, you apply to become an Amazon influencer, and once approved, you can earn through onsite commissions.

Onsite commissions involve posting videos to your Amazon influencer storefront, and Amazon hosts these videos on product pages.

This means that when people browse a product’s page, they see your videos demonstrating or reviewing the product. This is where most influencers make their money with the Amazon influencer program.

The Approval Process
To become eligible for onsite commissions, you need to post your first three shoppable videos on your Amazon influencer storefront.

Amazon will then review your account to determine whether you are approved or denied. I initially got denied in my first review, and the reason provided was related to video quality.

However, I made some crucial changes, which I’ll share with you in this article, and after making these adjustments and creating another set of three videos, I was approved for onsite commissions.

Changes for Approval
Here are the changes I made to improve my chances of getting approved:

Change #1: Video Quality
The first and most important change I made was to focus on video quality. I started using a tripod to stabilize my camera and paid close attention to audio quality. For audio, I used an app called InShot for recording voiceovers, ensuring high-quality sound.

Change #2: Thumbnails
In my second round of videos, I added thumbnails, which I designed using Canva. Creating eye-catching thumbnails can increase click-through rates and engagement on your videos.

Change #3: Product Selection
For my second set of videos, I chose products that weren’t necessarily trending but had excellent reviews on Amazon. This allowed me to target a less saturated market, increasing my chances of success.

Change #4: Product Demonstration
Whenever possible, I demonstrated the products I was reviewing. This involved using the product on camera, showcasing its features, and providing an in-depth look. This helps potential buyers get a better understanding of the product.

Change #5: Avoid Direct Sales
In my videos, I refrained from directly asking or implying that viewers should buy the product. Instead, I focused on sharing my experiences and the benefits I derived from the products.

Conclusion
These five changes significantly improved my chances of getting approved for onsite commissions in the Amazon influencer program.

While there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, these adjustments helped me go from denial to approval. If you found this article helpful, please give it a thumbs up. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel.
